35W Bridge Collapses over the Mississpi

Are you ok? If you know me, you’re in the twin cities and you’re reading this, please let me know that you’re okay.
Phone lines are all tied up in the area and I’m freaking out.
That is right by my house and I drive on it EVERY DAY - I was actually supposed to be on it tonight, around the time that it collapsed but I was running late. My God.
I just started crying on the phone with a dear friend. This is so scary.

Just a reminder - if you were meant to be on that bridge, you would have been on that bridge. There’s a reason you ran late that day. ;-)
I hope things are calming down for you and the rest of the city. It’s such a bizarre situation, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as it could have been. At least we can be thankful for that. :-)
