Good stuff. The extended edition was cheesy. Characters would stop in their tracks, deliver (”deep/thoughtful/moving”) dialog and then continue on their way. Awkward! I thoroughly enjoyed referring to Legolas as “Legoland” and Frodo as “Frodo the dodo.”

I love Will Ferrell, I love Maggie Gyllenhaal, I love Queen Latifah.
Still, this movie needed more umph.
