Local Reality Celebrity Sighting
I neglected to mention that after The Flaming Lips show at The State Fair, I saw Katherine (Katy) Gerdes.
I was waiting for my park-and-ride bus, and she was standing right in front of me.
She’s so wee and cute!
Though we went to the same high school, I never knew her (she was a year behind me and I was shy). She seems like the type of person who would be in my circle of friends and I even had an “in” to speak to her (same high school, yadda yadda - saw you on Project Runway, yadda yadda - read your video blog, yadda yadda) but I didn’t.
Ho hum.
Y’all should check out her “Auf’d from the runway segments,” they’re really well done.

Yea! Supposedly, I’m going out to dinner with her and a mutual friend (who you also wouldn’t know–she was my year and transferred in my senior year), but I’m not sure where that stands. I just know that I’m going to be all starstruck even though I did know who she was in high school.
