Pink bats and thrown hats

Posted in twins baseball on May 15, 2006

I went to the game yesterday, and the Twins lost.
I thought I had more to say about it, but I really don’t.
They should have won.
They were up 7 - 3 in the first inning and ended up losing 7 - 9.
Punks.

My favorite parts of the game?
1) The two guys in front of us (good friends) - one a Sox fan, and the other a Twins fan - battling it out throughout the game.
2) The marriage proposal that happened in the row behind me. Awww.
3) One of the White Sox threw a fit (and his helmet) and didn’t get kicked out of the game. Thanks, blue.
4) Gardie (Gardy?) threw a fit in the 9th inning. I love when he gets all riled up. Unfortunately, he should have done it much earlier, as the ump was making awful calls the whole game.

I purchased lower reserved seats for my family for Mother’s Day - and, man - it is fancier down there!
Nicer bathrooms (hand towel dispensers above each sink, no broken stall doors), larger food selection, friendlier staff.

Don’t get me wrong - 9 times out of 10 I’ll sit in the cheap seats - but it was nice to live like a fat cat for a change.

I never knew about the nicer diggs in the lower level. Damn rich baseball fans (except you).
