SNOW DAY!

Posted in MN, rumors on the internets on Mar 13, 2006

This is probably my second snow day - EVER (and I grew up in Minnesota).
My school isn’t even closed, but only seven students showed up (Seven!) and my car doors were iced shut, so I’ve got the day to myself (and the kitties) at home.
Nice.

Anyway, I’ve not much to say except it’s beautiful outside now (was scary this a.m. when I tried to leave the house), and I want to take snow photos (I just might).
I also want to rescue my car from the crazy amounts of snow while it’s warm before everything re-freezes and I can’t get my doors open again tomorrow morning.

You know, I still read MNSpeak (via bloglines) and I really do think the quality of writing/posting/conversation has gone down on that site.
For instance, for the past week or so I’ve noticed that all of their daily “Miscellaneous Local Links” are either from the Star Tribune, WCCO, or CityPages. Have they given up on reading other local blogs?
How pedestrian.
What gives?

Agreed! Didn’t rex leave recently? Who’s babysitting the site now that he’s away?

I think he’s in the process of leaving?
It’s run by guys from The Rake now.

Rex is gone now–they had links to photos/video of his going away party. I think he had to leave before the Olympics cuz that was part of his project.

And yes, MNSpeak quality has gone way downhill. It’s just plain boring now. And not in the non-controverisal way, but in a sincere this-post-isn’t-interesting way.
