“I’m like flypaper for bisexuals!”

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Last night I had a fantastic time out with friends for frou frou drinks and spicy grub at The King and I Thai. It was super fun and their drinks were super strong (though, I was having just as much time pre-drinking as I did post — I swear)!

Afterwords, we walked over to the 19 Bar.
Apparently it’s the oldest gay Bar in Minneapolis and also just about the only (gay) bar in town that I hadn’t been to.
LOVED IT.
A very chill place with pool tables, darts, a centrally-located bar, a funlaughsgoodtimes jukebox, and a smokin’ patio outside.
There was a sighting of a local blogger, crazy chat about Africa, Americanization, and dreadlocks as well as general merry-making with friends.
I loved it and would definitely go there again sometime.

In other queer news…
On Saturday there are SO MANY GOOD SHOWS in Minneapolis. I can’t really handle it.
There’s a Homocore show at The Uptown Bar, a Eufio show at The Belfry (3753 Bloomington), an Ellis/Ember Swift show at The Bryant-Lake Bowl, AND a Cheap Cologne CD Release Party at the Dinkytowner (recommended by my brother).
Oy! What’s a girl to do?
I’m thinking I’ll hit up Homocore first and if for some odd reason I’m not feeling it, head to one of the other places.
Figures that all the good shows are happening on the same day - these kids need to get together and look at their calendars - make room for more people to see their stuff.
It’s all in the planning.
